Johannesburg Family Cooperative

A place for learning and cultural empowerment.

The Johannesburg Family Cooperative is a community of Families that hosts culturally reflective programs for young children.

The Johannesburg Family Cooperative was founded on June 24th, 2020. It is an extension of the Johannesburg Family Gathering. The purpose of the cooperative is cultural empowerment for young children. On this website you will find a repository of learning materials and a list of our current programs.

We commit to this purpose in two ways:

1) To share and when necessary, produce content on, the histories, traditions, and movements of Black people.

2) To host excursions, nature walks, site visits, storytelling sessions and musical workshops to further engage
